Sunrise

This photo was taken during a visit to Stewart Island, one of the more remote parts of New Zealand. This is a view of the harbour of the main settlement on the island.

Sometimes a limited range of colours can be very effective, and this photo is almost monochromatic (black and white) with high contrast, emphasised by the sunlight reflecting off the water and silhouetting the boats.
