The Contour application was supposed to create smoothed contour plot graphs for numeric data supplied to it. I tried various algorithms for this but I never got anything to work successfully. I'm sure that with the resources of the Internet today I could find an algorithm which would do approximately what was required, but at the time even some mathematicians I knew couldn't help.
