Project number: 305 (number in database). Original project name: TrackSat!. Development type or programming language: Pascal. Platform designed for/with: Vax. Year of most recent major modification: 1982.
TrackSat was my final year project for my computer science degree. It was a satellite tracking program which ran on a Vax super-mini computer. Most interaction at the time was done with terminals but this could output to an early graphics terminal, an HP pen plotter, and an early graphics dot-matrix printer. It seems simple enough now but it was all pretty sophisticated for the time!

I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Too Many Road Cones: I think it is clear, there are too many road cones! (posted 2025-07-18 at 16:55:03). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2025-06-28 An Empathy Deficit: They end up reducing the total empathy in the world..
