(Up to OJB's Styles Page) Dusky Sound Sauvignon Blanc 2004Tasted: | 15 Nov 2005 (age 1 year) | Name: | Dusky Sound Sauvignon Blanc (231) | Variety: | Sauvignon Blanc (15) | Year: | 2004 | Producer: | Dusky Sound | Region: | Marlborough | Rating: | good | Web Site: | http://www.duskysound.co.nz | | This showed bright light-medium straw gold colour. There was strong gooseberry and citrus fruit, and dry and stalky bouquet. The flvour was crisp dry citrus lime and gooseberry fruit, and there was a crisp clean acid finish. This wine showed nice varietal characters, good balance and complexity, and was clean and crisp. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
