ClarisWorks and AppleWorks Versions

ClarisWorks and AppleWorks were Apple's integrated software, with word processor, spreadsheet, etc in one program. They were replaced with the individual apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) for modern machines, but if you need to run them on old hardware, here are the versions...

ClarisWorks 1.0 was released October 1991. It requires System 7.

ClarisWorks 2.0 was released March 24, 1993.

ClarisWorks 3.0

ClarisWorks 4.0 was released June 14, 1995. It requires System 7, a 68020 or later CPU, and 4 MB of RAM. A Windows 95 version was also available. It uses a different file format than versions 2.0 through 3.0.

ClarisWorks (AKA AppleWorks) 5.0 required 4.7 MB of RAM.

AppleWorks 6.0 required Mac OS 8.1, a PowerPC Mac, and 24 MB of RAM with virtual memory set to 25 MB. This version is also OS X compatible up to Snow Leopard (10.6).
